Marjana Koçeku: Violence against protesters shows the government's

MP Marjana Koçeku, known as Neomalsorja, has reacted after clashes between the State Police and protesters during the rally held in front of Parliament, harshly criticizing the authorities' response.

Through a post on social media, Koçek expressed that he has followed with concern the violence exerted against protesters, while accusing the government of, in the absence of arguments, responding to citizen dissatisfaction with force.

"In a state where arguments run out, only the rubber baton, handcuffs, and police boots remain. But no government has prolonged its life by hitting citizens who demand to be heard. We only need to look at history to understand this," writes Koçek.

The MP, who a few days ago left the Socialist Party parliamentary group, added that the use of violence is not a sign of strength, but evidence of the powerlessness of the government to convince citizens.

“A state that chooses to respond to civic discontent with violence is not demonstrating strength; it is demonstrating its inability to persuade,” Koçek emphasizes.
