The Investigative Commission for Sterilization and Health Check-Up continues its work today.

Genc Byrazeri, as a former member of the Concession Commission for Sterilization, KVO, lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, was called to testify.

As he began his speech with an international assessment study, which included his name, he asked the members of the Commission to "have his minutes of fame, as a constitutional right that no one can take away and to have messages positive and not just blacken with documents".

President Albana Vokshi intervened, reminding him that " the Commission's purpose was to prevent abuses in health, to reveal the truth and prevent violations from occurring ".

Byrazeri said that from 2011-2019 he was also a specialist of the Institute of Public Health as an external specialist, when Petrit Vasili was the minister, as he also worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine.

" In 2014, former Minister of Health Ilir Beqja appointed me as one of the members of the Concession Commission. I was not an organic part or an administrative hierarchy. I resigned on May 5, 2015, resignation for personal reasons, shortly after the feasibility study for the concession was finished, as this was my duty and I am responsible for this. I'm ready to talk and answer what my position for the feasibility study contains and when it's over, I left ," said Byrazeri.

He further said that he was replaced by an order of former minister Beqja with another member. Byrazeri insisted that he only adhered to his duty as determined by the minister's order and not to other issues.

Byrazer defended his feasibility study, noting the problem of contamination and infections in the hospital centers where he was assigned to conduct scientific research.

" A part was taken into account from the findings made and a part was not. This is only a feasibility study and decisions are made by others. Some parts were taken into account and very well done, but that was my job. That's why I signed, because my profession is an epidemiologist, to control the situation, always for my part. I have signed for my part ", said Byrazeri.

The former member of the Commission stated that he requested the closure of some surgical rooms.

" We contacted the former minister Halim Kosova to sensitize him about the urgent need to close some surgical rooms, which came out with contamination:
ENT scale, microbial scale 43 percent
Surgery emergency 2/3, surgery 40 percent. There is no room for discussion. We were like sub-Saharan Africa!
There were many deaths as a result of the septic condition ," he said.

This statement of his has caused reactions in the commission, both from the chairman of the commission, Albana Vokshi, and from Plarent Ndreca.

Vokshi has stated that such a determination is serious and if this were true, it would have resulted in the death of many people.
