The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, spoke tonight about the Socialist Party's preparations for the May 11 elections and its objectives during this process.

While explaining that the spirit on the ground towards the majority is positive and healthy, Gonxha stated that in each district the SP will aim for the maximum number of mandates, also making a prediction for the capital.

"These are complex elections and we must face them, it requires a lot of solidarity. This is an increased motivation and focus on what we owe to the citizens. Tirana is of fundamental importance. We will get the maximum number of mandates in Tirana, 19, 20 we will try and more. The diaspora will be a novelty. We will try until the end.

"The dialogue we develop is healthy, productive, we have everything we can, we have 37 candidates on the open list that helps communication with all people in every neighborhood, community. There is no lack of experience, energy, motivation," Gonxha said, among other things, on the Debat show on A2 CNN.

Gonxhja said that the Kombinat area where he has been assigned by the SP to cover in the May 11 elections is one of the most difficult areas, as according to him, this area still suffers from problems inherited from the 2019 earthquakes.

He also said that this area, namely unit 6, is one of the largest in Tirana with approximately 73 thousand voters, but expressed his belief that the SP would receive a positive result.

"I am assigned to unit 6 where the old Combine is in the concept of the Combine area, but also the new part of unit 6 that joins the Ring Road and that also goes beyond the Ring Road towards the center.

It is a very large unit with about 73 thousand voters. The area is one of the most difficult also because of the problems it has inherited, especially due to the earthquake emergency. I think that all of these together now make sense in the open list.

And I think that all of this together makes sense to me. This also in the great opportunities that I, MEKI and my experience over the years, my past...", said Gonxha.
