The Democratic Party candidate in the Durrës District for the May 11 elections, Arian Ndoja, has reacted to Lulzim Basha's report to SPAK.
In his post on social media, Ndoja emphasizes that Basha has justified 10 years of opposition losses with theft and pressure exerted by Edi Rama and has never taken the initiative in a decade, as opposition leader, to sue even a single person or exponent of the organized crime world for pressure, theft or vote buying.
Ndoja also states that this attack reinforces his belief that Edi Rama has begun to smell defeat in the Durrës Region.
Full post:
Today I learned from the media that Mr. Lulzim Basha has filed a criminal complaint against me with SPAK as an opposition candidate for MP who is pressuring voters to collect votes!
I am Arian Ndoja, educated in Law and Economics, I graduated from the Magistrates' School with the title of Magistrate Prosecutor, I have a Doctor of Juridical Sciences degree, and I am a member of a distinguished intellectual family.
Throughout my life, I have built relationships with people only through work, dialogue, respect and understanding. In no case have I sold parliamentary mandates, building permits and have I abused the trust of the voters of an area, much less that of thousands of democrats.
I have not thrown members of the Democratic Party or the voters of this force into the streets to give power to Edi Rama.
Beyond the falsehood of the fabricated accusation, I naturally think that this could be done by someone who feels threatened by my candidacy, or by a character who is used in a comical way in folkloric jokes on Edi Rama's TikTok.
What makes this accusation even more absurd is the fact that from communications with members of the Democratic Party sympathizers after learning of this report, it can be said that Mr. Lulzim Basha, although he has justified 10 years of losses in opposition with theft and pressure exerted by Edi Rama, has never taken the initiative in a decade, as opposition leader, to sue even a single personage or exponent of the organized crime world for pressure, theft or vote buying.
On the contrary, I am told by structures and sympathizers that he has used the sweat, sacrifices, toil and even blood of those democrats who have faced Edi Rama's gangs only to increase the value of the agreements he makes with him!
Such attacks only reinforce my belief that Edi Rama has begun to smell the scent of defeat in the Durres Region and that until election day we must dedicate every bit of energy and opportunity to returning Durres to the bastion of democracy for the realization of the mission of Greater Albania!
I remain committed to fulfilling our mission as a team to change the country's governance.
