Berisha presents candidates in Fier, promises average salary of 1200 euros!

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha promised to increase his salary to 1,500 euros if he wins a governing mandate on May 11.

He promised a salary increase for teachers, while on the other hand he spoke about reducing the price of electricity and drinking water.

"Teachers will reach a salary of 1,500 euros until they are paid more than any other teacher in the Balkans. Energy will be sold to businesses for 8 lek, to families for 7 lek, the water tariff will be halved," he said.

From Lushnja, where he held a meeting with the Democrats, the leader of the DP said that he "will protect agricultural products in every season."

"Low salaries in Albania will not under any circumstances be below 500 euros. I guarantee entrepreneurs that the increase in employees' salaries to 500 euros will be compensated with tax cuts. There is a right that must be respected. The average salary will be 1200 euros.

Teachers will reach a salary of 1500 euros, while they will be paid more than any other teacher in the Balkans. Energy will be sold to businesses for 6 lek from the 18 it is sold to today. It will be sold to families for 7 lek.

"The water tariff will be halved. So, with these measures we believe that we will facilitate to a certain extent the lives of our citizens who are in need," said Berisha.
