Prime Minister Rama with his Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida

Prime Minister Rama spoke at a joint conference with his Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida.

In the framework of the 42nd anniversary of diplomatic relations and his two-day visit to Japan, Rama gives the news that very soon, Japan will be even more active in the diplomatic relations of the Western Balkans, the region and our country.

Rama said that Japan will send an ambassador responsible for the region, so despite the differences in terms of geographical position, Japan will be able to cooperate side by side in the face of unexpected crises.

"Japonia is a country that we respect and adore. I hope that you, prime minister, will visit Albania and the region soon. It is good news that Japan will send an ambassador responsible for the Balkans. Thus, Japan will be more present in our country. We are together in the Security Council and have joined forces to help Ukraine.

What Moscow is doing is an unacceptable violation of Russia's international law.

It is true that we are geographically far away, we are different, but in a world that is engulfed by sudden crises, I think that what unites us are values. Hoping that soon the Japanese government will make it possible for Albanians to travel without visas, we look forward to this cooperation ," said Rama.
