Fredi Beleri, the opposition candidate in the 2023 local elections for Himara, has started the campaign with the flag of Vorio Epiri. The video was made public by the joint candidate of DP and PL on his social networks.

He calls on Albanian immigrants living in Samos, Greece to support him, promising solutions to the problems they face.

"I want to express my happiness. The mayor spoke to me about all of you, with the best words. This has made me very proud. It was once conquered by Ali Pasha, now this country is in danger again, not from an aggressor, but from our ignorance, immigration. On May 14, I want you to be in our villages, I want you to support me, I ask for your help, I want your trust and I will always be by your side", Beleri said.


Let's remember that Fredi Beleri is a well-known and quite controversial figure in the past. He is one of the people accused of the massacre in the military barracks of Peshkepi, near the southern border with Greece, during which three unarmed Albanian soldiers were killed.

A Greek extremist association called Stohos claimed responsibility for the crime. Fredi Beleri was accused along with several others, but the incident was never fully clarified, nor were the perpetrators found.
