Following the decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo to transfer the case against former President Ilir Meta , his ex-wife Monika Kryemadhi and three other defendants to trial, the lawyer for the leader of the Freedom Party spoke to journalists.
Outside the premises of the Criminal Court of Kosovo, lawyer Kujtim Cakrani , accompanied by Kryemadhi, warned that in the coming days, evidence and documents from the investigative file against his client and other defendants will be made public.
While Cakrani was expressing his reservations about this Wednesday's decision, where judge Irena Gjoka admitted that there were deficiencies in the evidence, but decided to retry the case on its merits, Kryemadhi did not spare jokes and irony, mentioning one of the residents of Big Brother Vip Albania.
Conversation:
Kujtim Cakrani : I will make available the evidence that we had withheld until now.
Kryemadhi: You'll enjoy it now, you'll see if I paid for the lovers or not.
Cakrani: Have you ever heard that there is passive corruption, but there is no active corruption. There is no explanation from the procedural body about how much damage is done and to whom the damage was done. Listen, I told the prosecutor that everything is done in twos, even sex is done in twos, even corruption is done in twos. Monika says in threes.
Kryemadhi: Only Rogerti can explain this to you. Rogerti says it's done in five
Cakrani: I do n't know these kinds of Kamasutra styles, Monika. The problem lies in the fact that the prosecution can only say that there is passive corruption but there is no active one. Explain it to me. This will be the question we are looking for an answer to. No, look, active corruption is prescribed, but when reality comes, it says that there was active corruption and there is a name and surname. Tell me how the case can go to trial for people who are suspected of being active in corruption. Meta was very calm. He told me that I should tell him: He was looking forward to the case going to trial because he will face journalists in the courtroom and it will be an open trial. Meta has been transparent. We will also hold a press conference and present all the evidence.
