F1 race in Albania, Rama: 1 billion people will have their eyes on Elbasan in 3 days

Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the motor park being built in Elbasan, where a Formula 1 race will also take place, will ensure that the eyes of 1 billion people will be directed towards this city during the days of testing and racing. 

"When it comes to the motorsports park, we are not in a position to invest just for those 3 days of Formula 1, which is certainly the transition to a completely different level for Albania, as is currently happening. With Formula 1, we move to 1 billion viewers who will have their eyes on Elbasan during those 3 days of testing and racing," said Rama from Elbasan, where he participated in the signing ceremony of an agreement with the Albanian-American Development Fund, for the revitalization of the Elbasan castle and the surrounding neighborhood.

"The motor park will operate every day of the year, for various motorcycle races and will function as a point for daily tourism for many reasons, with the museum, recreational areas, etc. The future is there, ahead of us, and if today we look at the horizon of membership in the European family within this decade, which falls within our fourth mandate to be declared ready to enter the European family, this transformation of Elbasan and a breakthrough to another level also coincides with this period", Rama added.
