Agron Shehaj has announced his final separation from the Democratic Party, after physical clashes today in the Assembly with Flamur Noka and the debate with Gazment Bardhi.
Shehaj admitted that there have been communications with the DP, but after today everything is zeroed out. "Our paths are parting," he said during a statement to the media outside the Parliament.
Shehaj blocked the Parliament's rostrum for about 3 hours. He was pushed aside by DP MP Flamur Noka and as a result, Shehaj announced his separation from the Democratic Party.
"The Albanian gang allowed this in the parliament. They allowed a deputy to be raped inside the parliament premises. When there is a real opposition, when they talk about the thefts of Rama and the oligarchs, everyone works together to prevent this from happening. I wanted to talk about the thefts that have been committed against Albanians.
I had a relationship with the DP that unfortunately broke down, as they probably did not agree with me forming a real opposition. I wanted to talk about the 1.3 billion euro affair, which is a large part of the budget.... clearly our paths diverge," said Shehaj.
