The Speaker of the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, has expelled MP Agron Shehaj from the parliamentary session after the latter refused to vacate the podium.

Spiropali stated that it was the turn of the DP leader, Sali Berisha, to speak, calling Agron Shehaj "a bad copy of the original", referring to the opposition blocking the podium.

"MP Sali Berisha has the floor, or shall we continue with the other speakers. No one can block the podium. Sit down, unblock the podium. I draw your attention, if you repeat it I will give you a warning. Don't create unnecessary scenes, I will take away your right to speak. Leave the podium because I will exclude you from the session. If it is for the sake of revolution, let them pass. I have given the floor to a MP, you cannot take the floor by force. In order to be bad copies of some others, the originals are better. We better listen to the originals than you," she said.

Even after being expelled from the session, the independent MP refused to leave the podium and the Speaker adjourned the session for 5 minutes.
