Ilir Meta has made an official reaction from his cell, regarding the news that was reported yesterday from the courtroom, when prosecutor Sotir Kllapi stated that SPAK had administered a message between Meta and Ismailaj, where 200,000 euros were discussed.

He also took cues from a statement by journalist Enton Abilekaj. For this message, Ilir Meta says that without going into detail in terms of legal or procedural terms about what is considered evidence, how it is obtained, administered or used, he assures that "euros" exist only in the desire and imagination of prosecutors, as he and his lawyer have proven during the trial in the preliminary session.

"It is clear that even in the fabrication of such an alleged "sms", there are neither euros, nor dollars, nor lek, nor leaflets, nor posters, since the alleged message coincides with June 2009 before the parliamentary elections when I was simply an opposition MP and without any government function. Likewise, surprisingly, from the receiving party of this "sms" there is no response or reaction (!!!) While there is no guarantee that this "sms" was sent by me," he says.

Ilir Meta reveals for the first time that in his trial, the well-known journalist Baton Haxhiu is also a witness, for whom the president clarifies that he was involved in investigations by SPAK and not by him personally.

"Not only that, but Mr. Baton Haxhiu has become part of the investigations against me, not by me, but by SPAK, and I will have the fortune to face him in the courtroom. I assure Mr. Baton Haxhiu that the quality of the investigations is even more serious than the quality of the disclosure of his testimony published by SPAK and not by me," he reveals.

The leader of the Freedom Party emphasizes that DIA was registered in Albania 14 months after this fabricated "sms", while it concluded the agreement with CEZ 15 months after this "sms", while it received the first payments from CEZ 17 months after this "sms".

"This type of "sms" has been in the news for 15 years and has only been taken seriously by those who "liked" it for political games. Maybe the prosecutors are confusing me with Edi Rama who, with his signature, announces companies that are born only 8 months later and severely damage public finances," Ilir Meta continues.
