Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha held a meeting this Tuesday with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha, where the focus of discussions was on recent developments in Ukraine, European security, and cooperation between the two countries.
In a post on the social network X, Hoxha announced that the conversation with the Ukrainian chief diplomat took place while waiting for the flight to the next diplomatic engagement.
"Diplomacy is not limited to formal meeting rooms; it takes place everywhere, even while waiting for the next flight to the next engagement," the minister writes.
According to him, during the meeting, efforts to end the war in Ukraine and challenges related to security in Europe were discussed.
"Albania has stood strongly alongside Ukraine since the first day of the brutal Russian aggression and will continue to support Ukraine with unwavering commitment, in every possible way," Hoxha stressed in his reaction.
The Minister also announced that in June, Tirana will host a ministerial meeting dedicated to Ukraine, within the framework of international cooperation and coordination for regional peace and security.
In the post, Hoxha also highlighted discussions on the European integration process of Albania and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the pace for membership in the European Union.
