The Head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the statements made today by SPAK Leader Altin Dumani.
In his reaction, Bardhi asks the SPAK leader which political parties he has been in contact with and accuses him that SPAK has been non-existent in the elections, turning from hope into an alibi for Edi Rama.
He has also made accusations about the fact that Belinda Balluku, Ceno Klosi or Klevis Jahaj are protected by SPAK.
Gazment Bardhi's reaction:
Which political parties were you in contact with, Mr. Prosecutor? Where and how?
I don't know if the Head of the Special Prosecution Office, Mr. Altin Dumani, really said this statement or not in the off-record meeting with journalists, but if it wasn't a misunderstanding by the media, he has the obligation to explain which political party he was in contact with. With the Socialist Party to intimidate and blackmail the opposition?! With the Socialist Party to coordinate the time of committing electoral crimes and to provide guarantees of immunity?!
As the Political Leader of the Fier district, I declare with full responsibility that not only have we never been called for our reports, but SPAK has been completely non-existent even though the Fier district, as the second largest district in the country, was a scene of electoral crime every minute.
SPAK was non-existent when Belinda Balluku cast her votes using the name of the Head of the Special Prosecution, as a guarantee to him, that none of the 4 criminal organizations active in the Fier region would be affected by SPAK as long as the Socialist Party was in Government and Mr. Dumani was at the head of SPAK. Whether it was a use of the name or a misuse of it, Mr. Dumani should tell us, but the circumstances show that to date Belinda Balluku has been provided by SPAK with a certificate of inviolability, even though she is the only public official openly caught in corrupt affairs.
SPAK was non-existent even when we reported with facts the electoral employment scheme of Belinda Balluku in Fier, which constitutes electoral corruption, a report that was not investigated by SPAK with the absurd argument that we had not indicated the source from which we had found the material, even though we were never called to be questioned about this.
SPAK was non-existent when the State Police led by Skënder Hitaj turned into an electoral gang that openly blackmailed DP candidates, opposition supporters, and local businesses.
SPAK was non-existent where hundreds of public administration employees from Tirana abandoned their state duties for 6 consecutive months and occupied the Fier region as electoral terrorists, distributing first interests, blackmailing citizens and businesses.
SPAK was non-existent when Ceno Klosi or Klevis Jahaj, with the money from corruption committed in state offices, bought the will of citizens, in front of the eyes of the police and the prosecution, in broad daylight and without any hesitation.
The list could go on longer, but the summer statements from SPAK do not deserve more attention.
Just as offensive statements that SPAK has prevented electoral crimes do not deserve more attention.
I have said it and I repeat it: The SPAK Task Force was Edi Rama's perfect alibi to realize the scenario known even in the previous report by the OSCE-ODIHR of the fusion of "party, state and crime" into a single one in the elections! The transformation of SPAK from hope into an alibi is the worst news that Albanians received in the 2025 elections!
