The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, has stated that the institution he leads recognizes Indrit Sefa, who belongs to Enkelejd Alibeaj's group, as a representative of the DP.

In a conference with journalists, Celibashi stated that they have also received proposals from Flamur Noka for members of CEAZ and are currently in the process of verification. He further added that the CEC will act according to the law and will recognize only one person who has jurisdiction over the DP.

"We do not know the political reality of the moment, since even as an individual I follow and watch the developments. This decision-making will be the result of my judgment. This is the fact, so we have two proposals for members of ZEAZ from Mr. Indrit Sefa is the DP representative in the CEC; we also have a proposal brought by Mr. Flamur Noka brought in the capacity of General Secretary of the DP. And in fact, we are in the process of verifying the documentation on the proposals for members of the CEAZs, not only for the PD but also for the other 3 parties that are eligible.

The same procedure will be recognized by us, but there is added this aspect of who is the one who has the right to make proposals for members of CEAZ. This is the reality and I am sorry that we find ourselves in this situation, not for the CEC. We have no political interest and sympathy beyond the comments that anyone makes outside this institution. This decision-making will be in compliance with the law. It would be more serious if someone commented that this decision-making was ordered by someone from outside. One thing is certain that the request for both the case of the commissioners and the registration of the Democratic Party, we will decide according to what the law recognizes. We will only dispose of one DP and it is only one person we know who has jurisdiction over the DP.

It would be good if this issue should have been resolved, because we are talking about the main opposition party. It is not too late for anyone who can to solve this situation, as we have nothing in our hands, so it is useless to influence. Before it is too late, it will be necessary for everyone from an institutional or political point of view to contribute to solving it. It is not possible to act as if nothing will happen, as the PD may not even be registered. We cannot ignore this situation",  stated Celibashi.
