During an organised activity with experts, pedagogues and students of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Prime Minister Edi Rama questioned the figures published in the past by INSTAT for the number of cows, sheep and goats.
Rama's response came in response to Erion Brache's concern that there is a reduction of up to 30 percent of leaders from 2018, when milk was introduced into the VAT scheme by 20 percent.
Socialist MP Brache hit back at Rama's statements, implying that the Prime Minister is not lying to INSTAT figures, but to the ministers' figures he hears.
"I have quoted straight forward without any mistake INSTAT, an institution that for other statistics we raise to the sky. INSTAT says the source of the data is from the Ministry of Agriculture. Cows have counted the ministry in 2017, even in 2018, even in 2019, 2020 and 2021. If I counted them, they'd be different," Brache writes.
The MP explains why.
"Because among a minister who says "there was not so many cows that he added that was then to steal the vaccine money", another minister who argues even deeply "cows have eaten tourists; Many came, what they eat" in the same governments, I trust the empty haura, the testimonies of the beekeepers for the number of cows they had, the halved stables, or even with little; I trust an entire village like Lifaj that has had over 2000 cow leaders, and now there are several hundred," says Brache.
According to Braches, these are more reliable than five ministers from 2016 who accuse each other of counting cows wrongly. He says INSTAT data is in logical line and the declining number of cows is also supported by the amount of milk produced.
"Said these, I can accept any achievement, everything good done and leave no case without making it public, but I cannot lie, anyone, including the Prime Minister. I can't lie because the first, lying is disrespectful to the other. The second, lying does not solve the problem and this does not save the snail, does not care about the snail, nor the farmers of the beekeepers" closes his reaction.
