Berisha: Opposition protests have mortally wounded Edi Rama
Sali Berisha

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that the opposition protests have "mortally wounded" Prime Minister Edi Rama, as he is now the main negative character, according to him, in foreign media.

" I am pleased to confirm that it is precisely this stance, our peaceful uprisings, that have made Edi Rama the black sheep of the international media. Today, like no other European leader, the major world media have exploded against him with the most severe epithets, evaluating him as a gangrene that must be removed for his country ," Berisha said in an online communication with his citizens.

" So, every day, thanks to your peaceful uprising, your disagreement with his decisions, Edi Rama is stigmatized like no other leader in Europe. This is a serious, important achievement for the democratic forces, for the opposition. This is an achievement that proves that Edi Rama is politically mortally wounded. And that the peaceful uprising of the opposition, with its extraordinary international resonance, has played a very important role both in protecting the dignity of Albanians, in rejecting the racist thesis that Albanians are tainted with corruption and do not react, as well as in the trust and hope among Albanians and our partners that Albania has a powerful opposition that faces tooth and nail with the narco-dictatorship, with the authoritarian regime of Edi Rama ."
