On his 80th birthday, Chief Democrat Sali Berisha chose to talk to his followers on social networks.
The former prime minister said that Albanians have been and remain his strongest motivation in these 8 decades of life.
Berisha thanked all his supporters, whom he says believed in him even in the most difficult times.
The chief democrat adds that he never dreamed that this top would be so beautiful for him, despite the difficulties and complications.
"You believed in me even in the most difficult times. You supported Sali Berisha even when she had an award. I stopped to say this just to emphasize how grateful, how indebted, how motivated and inspired Sali Berisha feels today at the peak of his 8-decade journey. Very beautiful, I tell you. I never dreamed that this peak would be so beautiful for Sali Berisha, regardless of the difficulties, the complications, but we fought a battle when they did not expect it. A French friend of mine in a book praises the bravery of 2 am. I asked my friend, why did you single out the bravery of 2 am. Because 2 o'clock in the morning is the hour of the greatest surprise and that he manages to react at 2 o'clock in the morning, he withstands any surprise. That's what you were," said Berisha.
In the long question-and-answer session, Berisha recalled some of the most important moments of his life, stopping longer in 2021, where he was declared non grata by the USA.
"I had to stand up to those who tried not to hit a man, absolutely, tried from a corrupt leftist position, to erase a 30-year history of my nation. In this context, I think that with my activity this is one of the greatest services I do for my nation, which I adore ", said Berisha.
He also showed the two hostages of life, confessing what he would do differently if he could go back in time.
"If I could go back in time, Law 7501 would not be what it is today. If I could go back in time, the pyramids would never have happened," said Berisha.
On this 80th anniversary, Berisha received numerous congratulations from his friends and collaborators, as members of the Democratic Party and ally Ilir Meta.
