Interior Minister Taulant Balla says that the state police will have another level of communication with citizens, while he has praised the positive examples of the Road Traffic Unit in Tirana.

"The police will have a different level of communication with citizens, without diminishing zero tolerance for "arrogant offenders" of road traffic rules. I am bringing you to the attention that one of the sources of traffic in Tirana is also the wrong parking lot right in the middle of the road or driving the vehicle using the phone at the same time. These violations of the Road Code are inter-intermeshable and should not be tolerated," the minister wrote in a note on social networks.

Balla said that more than fines, it will seek to increase the sense of responsibility among citizens.

"I am not enjoying the "successes" of fines, but the feeling of citizens that the rules must be enforced, not because it is the police behind the turn or the traffic light, but because we protect the lives of everyone" says Balla.
