Dash Sula calls SPAK for "Tower of the Foltore": Follow the money and
Tower "Tirana Mountain" / MP Lover Sula

Democratic Party MP Lover Sula has joined voices against the construction of the 65-storey tower in the garden behind the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tirana.

In a post on social media, Sula says he has previously denounced millions of square meters of building permits that are issued to only 10 companies in the country.

Regarding the tower of "Foltore" which is being built by businessmen closely connected to the family of Sali Berisha, Sula asks if this company has the financial capacity to make a $200 million investment.

He calls on SPAK to investigate by following the money, to go to the root of the problem and to save the garden from destruction.

Full response from Lover Sulla:

Two of the dangers that albania are making concrete and steel towers.

On April 13 this year, when the giant tower to be built behind the Opera and Ballet Theatre was in the project phase, I raised concerns about the danger in Parliament; Millions of square meters of building permits for 10 companies. Most of them have no financial resources to implement these constructions. Even worse, most of them have not even taken out loans at second-rate banks.

"Follow the Money" is what is advised to end the illegality.

The noise of the moment when everything has become a fact and the flower where the tower is built is surrounded may be a bit populist, but it hasn't solved the problems.

So to save the green spaces of tirana and albania's parks and gardens, we need to go a little further inside the problem.

Do the big companies in Albania have the financial capacity to build towers worth up to 200 million euros?! If they don't, have they received credit for the project financing? If they do not have the money to be found, then what is the source of the money?

We should encourage SPAK and support it to follow the money. This is how we get to the root of the problem and we save public spaces from concrete, but also come out of the grey moneyval list that considers us a "money laundering paradise".
