The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has reacted for the first time after he addressed the issue of the highest tower to be built in Tirana, in the garden behind the Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Basha says he is determined to fight corruption, as visible and invisible among politics, economic crime and organised crime.

The Tower of "Foltore" or "Tirana Mountain" will reportedly be built by businessmen closely connected to Sali Berisha's family, who have also financed the "foltore" movement as well as media near Berisha.

Berisha, MPs and media close to him, have been "crucified" by public opinion after being silent by not denouncing the construction of the tower. They have even asked not to become a cause of opposition at all because they "distract from other scandals".

Today's SPAK den of the corruption mountain in the center of Tirana is a test of the Democratic Party's trust in the most important institution of the prosecution. Unconditional support for justice is evidence of our political will to end impunity and encourage transparency over the visible and invisible links between political corruption, economic crime and organized crime.
