He was assigned to special counsel Mueller's team investigating President Donald Trump's ties to the Russians. But the FBI gradually found that he himself had sick Russian connections.

In this meeting, the former FBI official asked the Albanian Prime Minister to be careful about oil exploration licenses. The ex-spy businessman benefited directly from this decision.
