In an interview after his release from prison, Fredi Beleri answered the moderator's question whether there were negotiations by the government to hand over the mandate and be released from prison.

According to Beler, this happened in the first week in a meeting with key partner officials, where he offered his son or brother to choose to become chairman of one of them and resign and leave prison.

"Everyone knows it in Athens and Tirana. During these 16 months I always had offers to resign my mandate in exchange for my freedom," beleri said.

When you were in the cell, were there negotiations with you to hand over the warrant and you were released?

Beleri: The first week in a meeting with officials from our main partners, my brother and my son told me at the table, choose to become chairman of one of the two of you after we don't leave him, to resign from prison. I haven't accepted it. Everyone knows it in Athens and Tirana. During these 16 months I had always offered to resign my mandate in exchange for my freedom.
