Prime Minister Edi Rama exchanged jokes with bankers during a roundtable discussion organized by the Bank of Albania on the financing of 250 million euros in agriculture through a banking instrument.

Rama, during his speech, said that this is a golden opportunity for bankers to claim a ticket to heaven.

"When you pass into the next world, telling Saint Peter that 'in addition to making a lot of money with the rich, we also helped the farmers,'" said the head of government.

While addressing them, he told them that otherwise they would have a safe place in hell.

Edi Rama: I'm telling all the bankers that this is a golden opportunity for you to claim a ticket to heaven when you pass into the afterlife by telling Saint Peter that "in addition to making a lot of money with the rich, we also helped the farmers."  This may make it a little easier for you to appear before Saint Peter, otherwise you are guaranteed a place in hell.
