Sandër Simoni was elected this Friday as a member of the High Judicial Council (HJC), following the voting process for the election of three new members of the Council.

After the Supreme Court counted the candidates' votes, the result was equal. Sandër Simoni and Arbena Ahmeti received 179 votes each.

Due to the tie, the procedure continued with the drawing of lots, according to the regulations. After the draw with balls, Judge Sandër Simoni was declared the winner, thus securing membership in the KLGJ.
