There is no end to the chaos at the 2024 European Song Festival, triggered by a revolt against Israel's participation due to the Gaza war.

After the departure of dutch representative singer Joost Klein, another singer resigns.

Alessandra Mele, Norway's former representative at last year's Eurovision Song Contest, has announced she is stepping down from the role of spokeswoman tasked with announcing her country's points.

In a message on social media, she said she was withdrawing "because of a genocide taking place (in Gaza)."

"Open your eyes, open your hearts. Free Palestine!" she concludes her message at the end.
