Now it is the ex-Barcelona player himself who has clarified what happened that day in the club's parking lot when both played for the Blaugrana. During a conversation with Ibai Llanos on "After Kings", a program on Twitch where they talk about what happened in the "Kings League", the tournament in which they have teams, Piqué was questioned about the famous photo.

The former Spanish defender did not hesitate to tell his truth, insisting that the image was taken out of context: "In that photo we are in the parking lot of the club. There is my car and the journalists. I could kiss Zlatan on the lips, but not in the parking lot of the club. The photo was totally misinterpreted, but the best of all was Zlatan's reaction."

After the photo was published, a journalist asked the Swedish attacker if he was gay and Ibra angrily replied: "No, no, you and your sister come home now and I will prove to you that I am not gay."

In 2015, the defender at the time clarified what happened in that case. He told FourFourTwo magazine that it was a misunderstanding, that he had approached Zlatan to congratulate him after the publication of his autobiography:

"I'm a very sensitive person, very loving. The photographer took the picture when we were shaking hands. I was inside the club, so I don't think it was something from the entertainment world."
