On November 23 of last year, the well-known artist Hueyda El Saied passed away at the age of 46 after losing her battle with breast cancer.
A year later, her husband Thierry and Gabriel, as part of the Pink October, have decided to share a testimony of Hueyda, who during the time she was being treated in the hospital, made a very special painting.
Hueyda El Said has written a very touching and at the same time thanking letter for the people who helped her in her long and difficult battle, from the doctors, nurses, and all those who helped her.
She has shown that the entire team participated in this painting to express her gratitude to the 36 participants and to those medical teams that save lives throughout the year.

Gabriel and I are pleased to share with you this
“Patient of Room 271” testimony from our dear Hueyda on October 19, 2021, about her fight against breast cancer!! So proof of her amazing bravery !! Managed by Gabriel & Thierry
“… I am the patient of room 271, admitted for several weeks in the QSHL, after the aggravation of my triple negative breast cancer, with which I have been fighting for more than a year.
Recently I have realized that I am not alone in the struggle and that every success has been a team effort. I mean of course the nursing staff in the broadest sense: nurses, doctors, men and women, everyone is included! I have discovered here extraordinary people, dedicated professionals, so dedicated and pleasant that I am at a loss for words.
That's why I owe you.
So, since I am a painter, I had the idea to create a collective painting in which everyone would participate. And they all agreed to contribute to this painting entitled The Renaissance. Each in turn, they painted a part of this colorful warrior, and it was a brush stroke against the disease.
Therefore, this painting is my way of expressing my gratitude to the 36 participants and beyond to those medical teams who save lives throughout the year.
What will happen, I will never forget you: Vania, Cathy, Sabah, Hélène, Charles, Brigitte, Malou, Sophie, Marie, Caroline, Nicola, Micky, Nathalie, Coumba, Sophie, Antonio, Inès, Céline, Caroline , Fiona, Sophia, Laura, Tatiana, Alisson, Élise, Débora, Vanessa, Aude-Aline, Pauline, Lucie, Isabelle, Peggy, Julie, Hugo, Maryse and Razia.
Thank you so much for your care, your kindness, your generosity.
Thank you for being here and for being here every day. You perform an amazing job.
And thanks again to those who could not participate in the drawing.
We will dominate those markers, those tumors, those metastases, we will not let them win.
Life is a common good.
Victory is team work".
