According to a new study, people who snore may have an increased risk of cancer.
Obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that affects millions of Americans each year; presenting as loud snoring, shortness of breath and sleepiness during the day, writes the New York Post.
The symptoms are due to a blockage in people's airways when they sleep, resulting in stopping breathing throughout the night. Although annoying to those who suffer from it – and to those who share living spaces, researchers think it could be an indicator of cancer.
