An Italian man accidentally threw a box containing 20 gold bars, worth a total of around €120,000, into the trash. He went to the police station to report the box missing after suspecting someone had stolen it.

Police immediately reviewed security camera footage and discovered that the owner had thrown a box into a trash can near a tourist area, along with household waste.

The waste had already been collected and transported to a nearby plant. After a long operation among the piles of waste, the damaged box was found. Inside were also found the 20 gold bars.
