A new book on the monarchy, " Power and the Palace ," reveals that Queen Camilla was the victim of an attempted sexual assault as a teenager and used the heel of her shoe to protect herself from the aggressor.

According to the book, which was serialized by the Sunday Times , the Queen recounted the incident to Boris Johnson when he was mayor of London ( 2008–2016 ).

Valentine Low, the book's author and former Times royal correspondent, spoke to Johnson's former communications director, Guto Harri, who recalled the meeting at Clarence House around 2008.

Harry described the conversation as warm but serious, highlighting the moment when Camilla confessed: “I was on the train to Paddington, about 16-17 years old, and a boy was approaching with his hand… I did what my mother taught me: I took off my shoe and hit him in the testicles with my heel .”

The Queen also revealed that when she arrived at Paddington, she managed to find a guard and reported the attack, leading to the arrest of the aggressor.

Queen Camilla, 78, has always been active in campaigns against domestic violence and sexual abuse, dedicating her charitable work to supporting victims of sexual assault.

One of her popular ideas was the creation of aid packages for victims of attacks, an initiative that has recently returned.
