Anisa Markarian has brought the book titled "House in Selvia". It is the story of her family which she dedicates to her 2 parents who are the main characters of these stories. The narrative begins with her birthday, July 4, 1962, and ends with her father's death, August 15, 1980.
Anisa, in an interview with the journalist Beti Njuma, said that she felt it was a mission, she had long wanted to testify, but the moment and the way must be found.
She grew up in an Albanian-Armenian family. When Anisa was born, her father was 64 years old, while her mother was 41 years old. But has he worried about the anomaly in the judgment on the age of two people who had connected their lives with a difference of 23 years?
Anisa says that she thought about this for the first time when she reached her mother's age of 41.
Anisa Markarian: For the first time I thought about it when I was my age, and my children were more or less big. Maybe mine no longer had the professional load that I had at the age of 41, but I would say that the greatest love I have is to have a child and it will seem too much to me. They did not think about their age, what the investment in raising children represented, they wanted to bring life to life.
In the medical profession, she was among the icons of Albanian cinematography and already with a beautiful and clear language in her books, but it seems that everything was "prescribed". She confesses that and why she is against superstition, the way her life has flowed and the ritual of the pan when she was little lead her to believe.
Anisa Markarian : I am against superstitions, but go and don't believe you then. The ritual of the pan is an Albanian-Armenian custom. Armenians have it when the child's first tooth comes out. Albanians do it when the child turns 1 year old. They put it in the middle of a tray and put all kinds of objects on the tray. According to them, each object represents a profession.
And they say the first object that will touch will be the profession, the second the third the passions. And I have always said that that superstition has guided me through life without being conscious of it.
I touched the stethoscope that he had put on me then the fountain pen and a lipstick that I think is my acting, cinematic side. Mine always told me "you have the mission to write the story of my father".
Not only that, he also wrote the story in a beautiful language. But does Anisa Markarian have any hostages in her life?
Anisa Markarian: I have only one pawn, I don't have a pawn like many people have, I couldn't say how much I wanted it. That the love in our family was expressed. My pledge is that when I managed to see my father he stopped talking. I envy my brother to whom my father gave the last bequests while I didn't have it.
We all get a lot from our family, especially our parents, but for Anisa Markarian, her parents' greatest heroism in life is that they saved her from brainwashing.
Anisa Markarian: I think that the greatest heroism of my parents is not that they came out openly against the government, they saved us from brainwashing.
