The Police Supervision Agency (AMP) has arrested two State Police employees in flagrante delicto, suspected of passive corruption and abuse of office.

The officers served in the General Patrol at Police Station No. 4 in Tirana.

According to the official announcement of the AMP, the investigation began after a citizen's report.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the two police officers demanded and received an amount of 20 thousand lek from the citizen, in exchange for impunity for a traffic violation.

The Police Supervision Agency (AMP), following the investigative actions carried out under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, has arrested in flagrante delicto two police officers, on duty at Police Station No. 4, Tirana, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration, prescribed by articles 259, 248 and 25 of the Criminal Code. 

1. A. S, 20 years old, with the rank of Inspector, with the duty of service troop in the General Patrol at the Police Commissariat No. 4, Tirana
2. Xh. F, 23 years old, with the rank of Inspector, with the duty of service troop in the General Patrol at the Police Commissariat No. 4, Tirana. Tirana Regional Directorate.

The investigation began after a citizen filed a complaint. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the police officers demanded and received an amount of 20,000 lek, in exchange for impunity for a traffic violation.

Investigations continue to fully document the case and identify other people who may be involved.
