The National Security Council meeting was held today after three years, called by President Bajram Begaj, following the SHISH scandal.

The country's highest-ranking officials were present at this meeting, including Elvis Lila, whom Prime Minister Rama appointed to head SHISH immediately after the dismissal of Vlora Hyseni.

Lila is also seen in the footage released by the presidency, which also constitutes his first appearance to the public.

But who is Elvis Lila?

Lila is a career officer at SHISH for 20 years. He worked as a management officer in one of SHISH's departments.

When the intelligence service was led by Helidon Bendo, Lila was entrusted with the newly created directorate, known as the Performance Directorate. Lila later headed counterintelligence.

When Vlora Hyseni took over three years ago, she appointed Lila as director of the department for operational affairs.

The same sources from Intelligence for TCH indicate that Lila was one of Hysen's closest collaborators in counterintelligence matters.

Meanwhile, Kiço Sterjo, appointed by her as chief of staff, has been responsible for the managerial side of human resources at SHISH.
