US President Donald Trump has said that Ukraine has a real chance of winning the war against Russia, comparing the latter to a "paper tiger". In a statement on the social network "Truth", Trump said that full knowledge of the military and economic situation between the two countries has convinced him that with the support of the European Union and NATO, Ukraine can return all of its territory to its original borders.
"After fully understanding and acknowledging the military and economic situation between Ukraine and Russia, and seeing the economic hardships being inflicted on Russia, I believe that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and win the return of all of Ukraine to its original form. With time, patience, and financial support from Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original borders from which this war began are very possible. Why not? Russia has been fighting a war for three and a half years that a real military power could have won in less than a week. This does not honor Russia. On the contrary, it makes her look like a paper tiger," Trump said.
He added that Russian citizens, especially in Moscow and other major cities, are facing severe economic consequences and that this will affect the further course of the war. According to Trump, fuel shortages, long lines and economic collapse are severely damaging Russia, while Ukraine, according to him, is getting stronger day by day.
"When the people who live in Moscow, and in all the cities, towns and districts throughout Russia, understand what is really going on with this war, the fact that it is almost impossible for them to get fuel through the long lines that are being created, and everything else that is happening in their war economy, where most of the money is being spent fighting against Ukraine, a country with a great spirit, which is getting stronger every day, then Ukraine will be able to take back its country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that," the American president emphasized.
Trump concluded his statement by highlighting the great economic difficulties that, according to him, Russia is experiencing and said that this is the moment for Ukraine to act. “Putin and Russia are in great economic difficulties, and this is the moment for Ukraine to act. In any case, I wish both countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO, so that NATO can do whatever it wants with them. Good luck to everyone!”
