The United States will resume nuclear testing for the first time in more than three decades, US President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.

Trump stated that the return of testing is necessary, as according to him, other countries are also developing them.

"We will do nuclear tests because other countries do the same thing. I am the one who renovated them and built some. We have a lot of nuclear weapons, Russia is second and China is third. What I would like to do is move towards denuclearization."

The decision to restart the testing program was made a month ago, when President Trump ordered the US military to immediately begin action.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump removed tariffs on more than 200 food products, including staples such as coffee, beef and various types of fruit, in an effort to alleviate the pressure of high prices on American consumers.

The decision, which took effect immediately, marks an unexpected retreat from the tariff policy of Trump, who had previously insisted that his measures were not fueling inflation.

His administration has also announced new trade agreements with Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala and El Salvador to remove some import tariffs. Meanwhile, food prices in the US continue to rise.
