Police have arrested a man after three women were killed inside a brothel in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
A witness had discovered traces of blood outside the building, which is located next to the Danube River, and alerted the police on Friday evening.
"The women were found dead with cuts on the body, which are believed to be stab wounds," said police spokesman Philipp Hasslinger.
A 27-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan was arrested near the public house while holding a knife in his hand, which is suspected to be the crime weapon.
Police found a fourth woman inside the brothel and she is being questioned by officers as an eyewitness. The identities of the three victims remain unclear, but the brothel is in Vienna's 20th district, one of the city's poorest.
