22-year-old German-Israeli Shani Louk is still alive. This is what her mother Ricarda Louk declared for the German media, appealing to the government there for help.

She says that she has information that Shani is alive, adding that he received serious head injuries and is in critical condition.

"Every minute is valuable for us, you must act quickly and remove Shani from the Gaza Strip", she said.

We recall that the videos of the young woman became viral on social networks, after she was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists who stripped her and tied her in the trunk of their car and paraded her through the city. In another video, as reported in foreign media, a man grabbed her by the hair and spat on her.

She was captured in the Negev desert, near the border with Gaza, after attending a music festival.

It is also learned that the girl's card was used in a store in Gaza on Sunday, a day after Shani was captured.

Prosecutors in Germany announced on Tuesday that they are launching an investigation into Hamas on suspicion of kidnapping and murdering German citizens following the terrorist group's bloody attacks over the weekend.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Berlin was working intensively with Israeli authorities to try to discover the fate of German citizens among the hostages.
