A young man is tragically drowned in the sea while trying with his girlfriend to copy the iconic pose of the movie Titanic.

Furkan Ciftci and girlfriend Mine Dinar, both 23, fell into the sea in Izmit, Turkey after trying to create the iconic pose of actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in the movie Titanic. The couple, who had been drinking alcohol chose the edge of the boat pier to shoot the photo and at that moment they accidentally fell into the sea.

After the couple fell into the sea, a fisherman at the scene rushed to his aid, but could only help the 23-year-old Mine Dinar, which was caught after the end of a fishing rod. 

She was then pulled to a safe place and then taken to hospital by ambulance, but her boyfriend Furkan Ciftci unfortunately disappeared as emergency services were called to the scene to look for him.

Two hours later, the search and rescue team pulled the body of the 23-year-old, who unfortunately had passed away, from the sea.
