US authorities have uncovered a 531-meter-long tunnel used to transport hard drugs.

The tunnel is equipped with railroad tracks, electricity and ventilation system and leads from Tijuana to Mexico to a warehouse in San Diego, USA. The U.S. Attorney General's Office for the California District has said the tunnel was 18 feet deep.

U.S. police have uncovered a tunnel during a search of a warehouse, arresting six people on drug trafficking charges. The detainees are between the ages of 31 and 55, and could face life in prison and a fine of up to $ 1 million. As part of this operation, 799 kg of cocaine, 74 kg of methamphetamine and 1.5 kg of heroin were seized.

The last tunnel was discovered in California in 2020. It was 1313 feet long. Since 1993, 90 such tunnels have been discovered.
