Starmer responds to Trump: Say what you want, Britain is not getting involved in

Following US President Donald Trump's criticism of him and the British Army, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stressed during a press conference that the United Kingdom will not be involved in conflicts that are not in the national interest.

"This is not our fight. We will not get involved in it. It is not in the national interest. Despite the pressure that will be brought to bear on me and others, despite the protests, I will act in the British national interest in the decisions I make," Starmer said.

He also praised the role of NATO, describing it as " the most effective military alliance of all ," responding to speculation that the US is considering a withdrawal from the organization.
