Catastrophic flooding in Europe, the number of victims reaches 7

The number of victims from the storm "Boris" that has covered Central and Eastern Europe has gone up to seven, where the overflow of rivers has caused major floods in dozens of areas in Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Poland.

Meteorologists have warned that the situation may worsen as the rains will continue with high intensity.

5 of the victims belong to Romania.

In Poland, one person drowned, while a firefighter died in Austria.

Meanwhile, four people are missing in Poland. Three of the missing were in a car that was swept away by the flow of water.

Southwest Poland is the hardest hit area where tens of thousands of residents have been evacuated.

Polish authorities have declared a state of emergency in 90 cities. The army has engaged helicopters to help evacuate people.

More than 260,000 households woke up without power in the Czech Republic. The cause was strong winds that knocked down trees on power lines.

Due to the increase in the water level, a hospital with 180 patients was also evacuated.
