Spain is going through difficult days after the flood in the Valencia area.

Satellite images captured yesterday show the consequences of the event which claimed the lives of 207 people and left around 1,900 others missing.

The before-and-after footage, provided by Maxar, a US-based space technology company, shows streets and fields in the town of Paiporta covered in mud and a bridge destroyed by the river which burst its banks and flooded the surrounding area.

Many roads and highways also appear impassable, or passable with great difficulty.
