Two Palestinian sisters have been reunited in Rafah, south of Gaza.

Julia, an 18-month-old girl, was pulled from the rubble of a destroyed building and rushed to El-Najar hospital.

Her sister, five-year-old Joury, was also rescued from the wreckage and is in hospital being treated for her injuries.

"My sister, my love," Joury cried the moment she realized her sister had escaped.

The two were with their family having lunch when the building next to them was bombed, destroying the house they were in, the girls' uncle said.

The girls were treated for head injuries and were left scared and traumatized, their uncle said.

They later left the hospital with their family.
