Talks in Pakistan between Iran and the US have stalled over the Strait of Hormuz, the Financial Times reported, citing reliable sources who said the sea passage remains a hotly contested point.

Iran insists on maintaining control of the Strait and imposing transit duties on ships, and its negotiators have rejected the proposal for joint management.

Media reports indicate that another round of talks between Iran and the US, the third since the delegations met in Islamabad, is likely to take place this evening or tomorrow.
