The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced that he had a telephone conversation with Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor to the President of the United States of America, Joseph Biden.
Kurti says in the post that he thanked Jake Sullivan for the American support for securing the border of Kosovo, while he then states that he has asked for increased support against Serbia's war plans.
"I asked for increased support against Serbia's war plans and assured that the cooperation between the Kosovo police and KFOR will continue and that our commitment to protect the citizens is unwavering", writes Kurti.
This conversation comes immediately after the coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, expressed Washington's concern about, as he said, the "large deployment" of Serbian troops along the border with Kosovo.
"We will monitor the large Serbian deployment along the border with Kosovo. We call on Serbia to withdraw its forces from the border and continue to reduce tensions," said the coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, John Kirby.
