Qatar's prime minister on Monday denounced Israel's "deliberate targeting" of Al Jazeera journalists in the Gaza Strip, where five employees of the Qatari network were killed overnight in an Israeli strike.
“Israel’s deliberate targeting of journalists in the Gaza Strip reveals how these crimes go beyond imagination,” Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said at X, paying tribute to the memory of Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh and their colleagues killed in the attack on a tent in Gaza City.
Five journalists from the renowned international media outlet Al-Jazeera were killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza City on Sunday night.
The Israeli army admitted that the target of the attack was journalist Anas Al-Sharif, whom Tel Aviv has accused of being a member of Hamas cells operating in this area still outside Israeli control in Gaza City, while the other journalists who were killed were accompanying him.
The Qatar-based media categorically denied the journalist's ties to Hamas and accused Israel of trying to silence any dissent before launching the invasion of Gaza.
