US President Donald Trump has described as "brilliant" the military operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

While official figures speak of 55 Cuban and Venezuelan soldiers killed during the intervention.

The attack in Caracas, which targeted Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, has attracted widespread international attention and caused strong political reactions.

The United States justified the operation by referring to the Venezuelan leader's past, as well as accusations that he had incited and organized violent protests to maintain power.

According to official data published by the relevant authorities, Cuba confirmed the deaths of 32 members of its military forces, also making their names public, while Venezuela reported 23 fatalities among its personnel.

Trump described the raid on Maduro's residence as a bold and successful move, calling it a clear demonstration of US military capabilities. According to him, no other country would have been able to carry out such a mission with the same level of efficiency.

Addressing Republicans, the US president stressed that the US armed forces are "the most powerful, the deadliest and the most sophisticated" in the world. He also criticized Democrats, accusing them of failing to recognize the success of the operation and its strategic importance.

However, despite Maduro's capture, the situation in Venezuela remains tense. Several key figures in the regime continue to hold important positions, while citizens report that fear and intimidation are still present in the streets. Footage shared on social media shows armed police forces patrolling Caracas and chanting slogans such as "always loyal, never traitors."

Trump has also claimed that the protests demanding Maduro's release were organized and funded. He has accused the Venezuelan leader of systematic violence and prolonged torture, claiming that millions of people have lost their lives under his regime.

According to Trump, the operation was necessary to protect human rights and curb radical leftist influence in the region.
