After 19 days of intensive searching, Turkish authorities have found the body of businessman Halit Yukay, whose boat was found half-sunken and damaged near the coast of Artaki, in the Sea of Marmara, at a depth of 68 meters.

The thriller began on August 4, when businessman Halit Yukay sailed alone to Mykonos, on his boat "Graywolf" and had a tragic end. That same day, at 15:10, his relatives notified the authorities, as they had no news of him. On August 5, at around 14:30, a merchant ship sailing near Turanköy reported that parts of the boat were half-submerged on the surface of the sea.

From that moment on, a large-scale operation began, involving forces from the Southern Promontory Coast Guard, the General Directorate of Coastal Security, and special maritime police units from Samsun, Dardanelles, Izmir, and Gjalova.

The search continued uninterrupted for more than two weeks. On the 19th day of the search, Halit Yukay was found 68 meters deep in the sea from the area considered to be the area where the accident occurred.

The location was determined through a special Coast Guard Sonar device, while confirmation came from an underwater robot (ROV), which recorded images of both the body and engine parts and the boat's plates.

The body retrieval process is planned to be carried out using a special "elevator" system, so that the process can be carried out safely from the seabed without causing further damage. Military divers will coordinate the operation, which is expected to be completed within the next few hours.

Born in 1982, Halit Yukay was the owner of Mazu Yachts, a company that produces luxury yachts. He began his professional career as a shipbuilder and had a dream of creating his own company. Something he achieved in 2011 with Mazu Yachts, which is known in Turkey for its designs and technologies.

His company has built several series of yachts in recent years, from the 24.9-meter Mazu 82 to its flagship, the 40.2-meter 132 DS.
