A serious incident happened in Lisbon where a 10-month-old baby died after her father forgot her in the car.

Foreign media write that he had taken the girl with the intention of sending her to daycare, but unfortunately, in his haste, he forgot her inside the car in the parking lot of a university campus in Portugal for several hours in temperatures of 26 degrees.

The 10-month-old's father, who works at Lisbon's NOVA University as a lecturer and head of department, said he had forgotten to drop him off at daycare before going to work and left him in his car.

The father called 999 (local 166) after realizing his tragic mistake and discovered the toddler unconscious in the car, however, efforts to revive her were fruitless and she was simply pronounced dead.

According to the Police, the little girl, who according to the Portuguese press is called Madalena, was sleeping in her high chair in the back seats when her father left her, who apparently "simply" forgot that the baby was with him. in the car.

After almost 8 hours he realized his mistake, at 15:30, when his wife called him who was frantically looking for her child, after she had gone to the nursery to pick him up and couldn't find him. But it was too late to save the baby's life.

The mother arrived at the scene before the ambulance, the results of the autopsy have not yet been given and are not expected to be published.
